Shelter type emission measurement cabinets are responsible for both chemical pollutants (SO2, NOx, Particulates, CO, O3, Hydrocarbons, SH2 and TRS, Benzene, Toluene and Xylene) and meteorological parameters. Its functions may be varied, but they are mainly focused on the analysis of air quality and on controlling that it is within the limits established by law.

Emission measurement cabinets must be made of materials that guarantee their resistance and insulation, to ensure that the equipment they protect is kept in perfect condition. In both the manufacturing and installation processes, special consideration must be given to the following points electrical installation finishesThe safety of the doors and the stability of the floor, in addition to assessing all the elements that guarantee the safety of the technicians who have to access them.

Key features

In this sense, the shelter cabins must have enough space for technicians to carry out maintenance and inspection activities of the different equipment. Obviously, the final size of the measuring cabinets will be related to the equipment and accessories that they must house. Their dimensions usually range from 7 to 15 m2, to support the size and weight of the equipment. In addition, it is recommended that there be a margin of about 80 cm with the rear wall to allow for easy connection and checking of the different devices.

Special features of emission measurement cabinets

The electrical installation should be done in two or three phases and have a physical grounding. Of course, it must be provided with thermo-magnetic power cut-off devices, as well as signals according to the voltage and current of the installed load. The boards must be marked in accordance with current regulations. And, where appropriate, the measuring cabins must also be equipped with lightning arresters. The lighting must be explosion-proof and must allow the operator a proper view of all equipment.

The door must ensure that it closes securely and as tightly as possible, preventing the passage of dust and small animals. And, likewise, to have the necessary security measures in place to prevent access by outsiders and theft.

The cabins must have a ladder that allows access to the equipment located on the roof. In addition, it must have a perimeter handrail that delimits the safety space. Mobile stations must have levelers that allow horizontal adjustment and guarantee the stability of the different equipment.

Specialists in emission measurement cabinets

Mecanizados Delinte is a reference company in the construction of shelter cabins for environmental measurement and sampling stations. Our job is to manufacture the cabin, although we also collaborate with the customer in everything related to the installation of the equipment.

Another of the products we manufacture are measuring stations that are located on rooftops, following IP65 standards: dust-tight equipment and protected against sprayed water. E IP66: dust-tight and protected against powerful jets of water.

The use of quality materials from the European Union is combined with the extensive experience of our team, which has the required approvals in welding materials such as stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel in thicknesses ranging from 0.8 to 6mm. Our specialization means that our shelter measurement booths are distributed throughout Spain and internationally.
