Shelter type cabins are one of the products in which we have specialized in Mecanizados Delinte. These cabins are prefabricated in controlled environments. These booths are essential for different types of industry, from those specialized in the environmental and analytical sector to those in the oil sector.

A fundamental characteristic that they must have is their resistance. The shelter type cabins are made to measure, according to the needs indicated by our customers. It is important that they adapt to the climatic conditions of the area where they will be located. But they must also be able to withstand transportation and be able to house the equipment that needs to be installed in them.

In stainless or galvanized steel, higher resistance

Other variables that must be taken into account are that they have the capacity to dissipate the heat of the equipment, that they comply with the technical requirements and that they have safety and control systems, in addition to allowing energy supply.

As we can see, there are many conditions and variables to take into account for their design and manufacture. Adapting to the required standards and customer needs is very important. Shelter cabins range in size from 2000x1500x2500 (WxDxH) mm to 14000x2800x2700 (WxDxH) mm.

In terms of materials, we focus on strength. That is why we use galvanized steel or stainless steel. The cabins are insulated with rock wool and internally lined with stainless steel, galvanized steel and then painted or plasticized chipboard. Galvanized steel is characterized by a zinc coating that makes it more resistant to rust, since it protects it from the action of water and humidity.

In addition, zinc is a metal that is highly resistant to scratches and provides a satin appearance that makes steel more aesthetically pleasing. Depending on different factors, a piece of industrial galvanized steel with a zinc layer thickness of only one millimeter can last up to 70 years without maintenance. In addition, it is an inexpensive material that can be recycled several times.

Rock wool is a material made of volcanic rock. It is one of the most widely used as thermal insulation and fire protection in buildings. It is a material that was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century and, shortly thereafter, it was manufactured artificially.

The resistance of the shelter cabins

Individually designed cabins

In order to meet the demands of our customers, the cabins are individually designed according to the characteristics and plans they request. Subsequently, they are manufactured by studying their use, their final location and the required durability. The cabinets can withstand extreme environments in terms of temperature, humidity, tightness, cooling or vandalism, since the instruments they contain are generally of great value.

Numerous companies such as Repsol, BP, Cepsa, Exxon Mobile, Lukoil, Tecnicas Reunidas, PEMEX, have valued satisfactorily the quality and finish of our cabins for more than 30 years, making us a benchmark in the sector.

Shelter cabins allow for easy and effective installation and handling of electrical power systems, which will be protected in a pressurized and thermally controlled enclosure rather than exposed to the elements.
